Dr. Bob Watkins retired as Superintendent of the Independence, MO School District after spending a total of thirty-four years in public school education in Missouri.  Since that time, he has served as a Visiting Community Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and Interim Dean of Graduate Studies at Park University.  He also serves as the Director of the Kansas/Missouri Superintendents Forum sponsored by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City, MO. 

Dr. Watkins owns a consulting company operating under the title "The Watkins Group" and is a partner in Midwest Superintendent Search Group.  He has done over forty Superintendent Searches in Missouri.
